With over 10,000 fans in the stands and a championship on the line, Fortuna Bowl needed a look as bold as the game itself. The athletic-inspired logo didn’t just mark the field, it took over the entire experience.

Case Study:

To reenergize a 30-year tradition, I designed a new identity for CBU’s 2024 Fortuna Bowl—an intramural flag football championship that unites students, families, and alumni during Parent and Family Weekend. The logo combines bold athleticism with school spirit, featuring a football silhouette and a shape inspired by Lance, CBU’s mascot, to represent unity, legacy, and competition.

Rooted in CBU’s blue and gold, the mark was rolled out across campus the week of the event—appearing on digital signage, social media, truss banners, and even at centerfield during the championship game. The branding energized the campus community, elevated Campus Recreation’s visibility, and helped draw over 10,000 attendees to the game.

The campaign’s strong visual impact and strategic execution earned an ADDY Award at the Inland Empire American Advertising Awards.
