Digital Brand Identity, Icons, Motion & UX/UI
I taught myself After Effects the weekend before the hackathon and applied my new motion design skills to create an intro video for the business app our team developed. The animation was completed within the 18-hour competition, demonstrating my ability to learn quickly and execute under tight deadlines.
The pattern deconstructs the bee into repeating forms that build a hive-like structure, symbolizing community, unity, and the idea of individuals coming together to create something larger.
These icons were designed to land on pixel for optimal clarity.

Case Study:
I developed the digital brand identity for Local Buzz: a community commerce platform designed to connect small businesses with local consumers. Built in just 18 hours for Esri’s Hackathon competition, the project included a full UX/UI system, an animated motion graphic video, and a custom icon set, all centered around a futuristic yet approachable brand voice. Inspired by local makers and community members, the visual language blended bold energy with intuitive design, powered by ArcGIS Pro and Esri’s SDKs.
Once the branding was established, our team implemented the UI into a live prototype site with real map data and interactive features. The motion video brought the concept to life and helped tell the story of how technology can bring communities closer together. Local Buzz stands as a fast-paced, collaborative design effort that combined brand strategy, storytelling, and geospatial technology into one unified digital experience.
Working within the intense, time-limited environment of the hackathon required quick decision-making, adaptability, and strong teamwork. The final project successfully demonstrated both technical functionality and clear visual storytelling, earning positive feedback from judges and standing out among the competition.
